Union

Union, the last town to be settled east of the Connecticut River, was incorporated in 1734. Union is the state's smallest town in population with about 700 residents living on 29.9 square miles. The State Laurel Sanctuary is a major attraction, along with Bigelow Hollow State Park. Over half the land (7,000 acres) is State Forest or Yale Forest. Boston 65 miles, Worcester 35 miles, Hartford 35 miles.
